The Tragedy of Child Labor

This cartoon shows an adult gobbling up children as if they were food. Many children, youngsters as well as teens, had very little rights; they worked many, long hours in factories, doing unsafe jobs, instead of going to school. They were 'consumed' by the demands of their employers.
